The project entitled: “Social and Human Capital in Family Business and the Quality Resources of Regional Labour Markets. A seminar of Polish and Spanish experts and representatives of family businesses” shall be based on interdisciplinary cooperation between science, entrepreneurs and corporate environment. The project involves collating knowledge on family businesses in Poland and Spain, and then organising in February 2017 a seminar allowing for analysing and improving one’s work based on solutions applied in other countries. In the analytical dimension, the project will be executed as an preliminary research into social capital and human capital in family businesses. In the concept of the research study, particular importance is attached to the local dimension of entrepreneurship and the conditions which the mentioned capitals form for the development of family businesses, but also, for example, for the specificity of the region, its competitiveness or the potential for innovation. In the project, the international cooperation with Spain, a country of a longstanding tradition of researching family businesses, is of key significance. The project involves, among other things:
- desk research into family businesses in Poland and Spain;
- interviews with representatives of family businesses in Poland;
- a meeting between Polish and Spanish experts and representatives of family businesses, the purpose of which is to develop an interdisciplinary and international space for discussing the specificity of family businesses.
